racial integration...?NOT!

ahhh...finally i can sit without a lecturer staring into my face...but the screen isnt that exciting either..is highlighting short hair impossible?i thought it could be done, the wear u that tight rubber cap filled with holes n hightlight the strands that r pulled out from the holes...right?anyway,in the spirit of xmas,i was thinking of highlighting my hair...yeah,i'm bored.but the stylist in this particular salon said that it cant be done...cheh...nvm,i shall find out.

anyway,im sick and tired of all this racial integration crap n what not.whoever said that malaysia is a multiracial, harmonious nation must be retarded or something...are they blind?or deaf?at wisma sanyan in sibu(its a god-forsaken shopping complex) hari raya decorations were already up on the eve of diwali..ketupats n all.eve of diwali?what kinda sensitivity is that?another interesting point for the ignorant, diwali isnt a public holiday in sarawak..n we boast about our 3 main races,"masyarakat berbilang bangsa, terutamanya kaum melayu ,cina dan india"...thats how it goes in all the textbooks right?...superficially.

how can the main celebration of one of the 3 dominant races in our country not be declared a holiday in all the states?if sarawak was a PAS led state,i might be able to see the logic(or the absence of it in this case?),but BN?shame on them.samy vellu should push for this, isnt it?well,i guess some ppl just have toll counters to think about.

last week,i saw the most ghastly thing, ketupats on xmas trees in sunway pyramid..i know we want to localise everything, but please la...dont make the tree look like a rojak job gone wrong.lets leave the identities of the celebrations alone.oh yeah,i almost cried when i heard the hari raya song in the kongsi kongsi tune..if this goes on,we'll hear the same tune in modified lyrics 5 times a year(NY,CNY,raya, xmas n diwali)...it loses its distinction and uniqueness, does it not?

then there are the ads on tv that portray this so called integration..petronas does lovely ones, esp during merdeka...notice that most of the ads focuses on the oldear generation or older times...i wasnt born in that era,but from what i hear, tolerance was much practiced then..which is a far cry from now.do we see integration on the streets?among our children?if im n indian n i dont mix much with my race,i'm known as a poser..same applies to all other races i guess.i wanna know what went wrong.i wait for the day when everyone only has to tick 'bangsa malaysia' on government n official forms,no kaum n agama(does it really matter in the passport if ur a buddhist or christian?)..(dont let me start about the exam papers)...

only then, and only when every citizen is given equal rights to prove themselves(think the quota system) can we say that we are halfway towards this fantasy integration thingy..
